About Us...
The Rushtons are a Christian family of four from North Alabama with a tremendous passion for God and families.
Harold is CEO of Rushton Family Ministries. Harold administrates the entire ministry and all of its many divisions. If that is not enough, he also owns his own construction and excavation company, Dependable Construction and his own playground installation business, Playmasters. Harold's interests are wide and varied. He enjoys aviation, motorcycling, restoring old automobiles and all kinds of other "guy things!" Author, in his own right, stay tuned in the very near future for his very first series of books which will be available very soon!
Matthew, 18 year-old-son of Harold and Cindy, has recently completed his senior year of high school. Matthew was homeschooled from pre-school through graduation. He has served Rushton Family Ministries in many positions throughout the past 15 years of ministry. Currently, Matthew assists his father in managing the vast inventory of books, bible studies, tapes, and homeschool packets that Rushton Family Ministries publishes and promotes. Call our offices and often you will find Matthew on the other end of the phone, ready to help with selection of materials or finding answers to your homeschool questions. Matthew serves as a regular columnist for TIME FOR TEA MAGAZINE and HOMESCHOOLING THE EASY WAY MAGAZINE. If that is not enough, this busy teenager, also serves many homeschool conventions as a keynote speaker and assists his father in their two businesses.
Matthew's interests are as varied as his dad's. His hobbies range from sail boat racing to motorcycling...knife collecting to firearm collecting...competitive pistol shooting to construction work...civil war re-enacting to military history...reading to writing. In his spare time (yeah, right!), Matthew operates his own business--Matthew's Cutting Edge--that he has operated since he was 12-years-old. We also introduce you to Elisabeth, the 15-year-old daughter of Harold and Cindy. She is not forgotten. Elisabeth has also been homeschooled all her life. If you do not reach Matthew, many times that friendly voice on the phone is Elisabeth. Elisabeth is that busy little bee in the background helping with just about everything! If that is not all, she is her mother's "right-hand" assisting her mother in day-to-day homemaking in the Rushton home to help all things run smoothly. You will find her reviews and product selections as she and Cindy introduce a new line of products that are sure to encourage all godly homemakers whether your need is for how-to’s...encouragement...or even specialty products. Elisabeth is also the editor of an online e-zine, TIME FOR TEA FOR TEENS. Her fresh and inspiring articles are an encouragement for teens around the world. (Subscribe here) If that is not all! Matthew and Elisabeth have always been homeschooled. They are writers and business entrepreneurs in their own right. You will find articles by them, products they have produced over the years THEMSELVES, AND their reviews of our books sprinkled throughout the pages of our website.
Last but not least, Cindy...Christian wife, mother, writer, and speaker is on board here at Rushton Family Ministries. Cindy combines her passion for God with her gifts of encouragement and Biblical teaching to minister to mothers around the world. She has become a favorite of many as she has poured her gifts into her writing and workshops around the country. We offer her life-changing books (and E-books)...tapes of her workshops (many are NOW online as E-Workshops!)...workshop manuals (YES! Copies of her own original teaching notes from her workshops)...and her favorite products that you are certain to enjoy.
Rushton Family Ministries has been established to minister to the heart, soul, and minds of families in our culture.
